Expedition Ascent of Mount Toubkal (4167m) 2 Days Adventure

We will leave Imlil early in the morning after breakfast at the inn. We will climb along the Ait Mizane valley, passing by the Kasbah of Toubkal and Aremd (1900m), a charismatic village known for its traditional architecture. We will take our time to appreciate the panoramic beauty of the Kasbah and the village. We will follow the trail along the eastern side of Azrou n’Tmadout to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2350m). We will have a good lunch on the way to the refuge, a few kilometers beyond the shrine, enjoying the view of the river and waterfalls. After a relaxing break, our hike continues to the CAF Refuge (3207m). We will stop at the CAF Refuge for the night and have dinner.

After breakfast, we will start our ascent as early as possible to contemplate the magnificent sunrise at the summit. We will follow the zigzag trail up to Tizi n’Toubkal (3940m), then turn left and follow the ridge to the summit. Once reached, we will contemplate magnificent landscapes in all directions: to the west, the peaks of Ouanoukrim (4083m) and Timzguida (4089m), to the south, the Tifnout valley, to the east, the Ourika and Tinzar valleys, to the north, the Aït Mizane valley. After a short photo session, we will take the same trail back down. The descent to the refuge should only take 2 to 3 hours.

We will have lunch at the Refuge to celebrate the achievement, then retrace our steps back to Imlil, have a little walk in the village, and return to Marrakech.
